Is Spore Pro-Intellient Design or Pro-Evolution?
'Creator' sort of implies something doesn't it?
Hey its been a while since i made a post and i am on holidays from college. So here i go !
So i was just thinking about the game SPORE and whether or not it was a Evolution propaganda tool. Turns out that when you think about it and some ’science’ magazine did ( Read the article here ), the game is a poor representation of evolution and is more pro design from their educated perspective. I mean it makes sense the game really doesn’t function unless the player does something.
Here is an interesting excerpt from the article;
You might think that Spore’s fatal flaw would be that it supports intelligent design rather than Darwinian evolution. But it turns out to be not even that interesting. “Spore is essentially a very impressive, entertaining, and elaborate Mr. Potato Head that uses the language of evolution but none of the major principles,” conclude Gregory and Eldredge.
Intelligent design is a fatal flaw? Seems the fatal flaw is in the lack of intelligence. Ouch 
Just wanted to say your little post here is pretty thought provoking… I think I will pose the question to my brother over the Christmas holidays.

Get a life people! Go out into the world and find out about other religions and you’ll get some wisdom about what the purpose of religion is.

I’m not going into this discussion, but I will say this:
When you say things like “Anne Frank went to Hell”, WHATEVER the context – you will enflame responses from other people, and frankly I think I can use whatever words I please when I hear speech like that.
Secondly – and I really felt that I had to respond to this accusation because you are a PIG – I would never mock God’s mercy.

And seriously. “True Christians” wouldn’t do things that were horrible? And that’s why “true” Christians get forgiven?

i have a question for you Trent, and i will be very happy if you answer me.
Do you know everything about god? do you know what is he’s plan? if so i am very impressed, because you believe in a omnipotent being, ho has always been and always will, and you, a mere mortal can understand him? how could you even possibly have any idea how he really is? the bible says he made us to look like him, but it never said we think not even remotley similar, or maybe he is everything, and you me my computer and all in this universe is part of him, what if the evolution is done by a divine power? you can’t deny that animals adapt to their enviorement, even physichaly, i respect your beliefs, but i think you should be a little bit more open minded, and don’t be so paranoic about this things, if you play spore you will see that it includes religion on it.
