Apparently God is a Pyramid!

Yesterday morning as i was at work, the famous John Edward (I Speak to dead people) was being interviewed by Kyle and Jakie O on the radio. The interview went down the lines of Universalism, in that God or what we call God is the same ‘entity’ to everyone, we just all see it or explain it in different ways. I recall 2 examples John Edward gave. The first was that its like different languages, in that if we take something like water, its the same thing to everyone but its called different things in every country in different languages. The second and the focus of this blog’s title is that God is like a pyramid, but its a pyramid with different colored sides. The argument is that if your on 1 side you’ll see red and if i’m on another side ill see blue and so on and so on. You’ll be absolutely convinced it’s red because that’s all you see, and likewise for myself with the color blue. This was Mr Edward’s explanation for different religions. This of course with the encouragement that we need to get up and walk around the pyramid to see all of its different sides aka Universalism. Although i’m sure one of those sides wouldn’t be angry at sin in his view.
I’m not going to get into John Edwards hocus pocus demonic manifestations. Does that count? But i want to point the flaws in this sort of rationalism. It is problematic firstly in that how would or could humans accurately define what these sides are? Where do we get our information and what is the standard we hold it up to. If we can’t answer that then all we are left with is that everyone is right! Now we are thinking like Post-Moderns. Whats the problem with everyone being right? Well now men are defining God and who he is? It’s like the clay pot telling the potter who he is and how he works. Then what happens when we get blatant contradictions between religions, or to take it back to the pyramid what happens if my side is bigger than your side well now our pyramid is faulty and not a pyramid anymore. You get the point, its a completely whacky argument and as stable as quick sand.
Yet people soak this in, they don’t question it. I am sure if i did a poll of 1000 people in the street and presented this type of thinking and that of absolute truth, most would go with the squishy pyramid. The bible tells us why this is.
When we start dealing with absolute truth, we start dealing with absolute morality. Once that is established then the logical next question is who defined these absolutes. And now we are accountable to this who and we can’t sin no more. Or as Romans 1:16-32 puts it, they suppress the truth in unrighteousness. They just want to keep on sinning.
Let’s not forget that we were all once dead in our trespasses and infatuated by sin! We too in our own way were fist shakers to God and we would not give up our crowns so quickly. Praise God he reached out and saved us. The world is blind to the things of God and the right response to a blind man is compassion not hostility.

I used to watch JE when I first came across him because he fascinated me in how accurate he appeared to be. Eventually though I recognised that sadly the reason he is so accurate is because he is so utterly deceived by demons masquerading as the people he thinks he’s ocntacting. And of course they have all the knowledge to provide the gullible people in the audience. I used to pray hard for him that he would see the total deception and repent – I grieve for those who are so desperate to make that contact once more they put aside their conscience – my husband’s ex-wife actually states she is a Christian yet had no problem going to a medium show for some reason. So many are utterly deceived as scripture has so clearly prophesied would happen in these last days. So hard to listen to and see. Blessings, TKR
I cannot agree more. The occult is fascinating…to the flesh. I myself can relate. Before i became a Christian the Occult and everything related to it definatley had a grip on me. And even in my early years as a Christian i would justify my interest and fascination. Yet once I began to view it as God see’s it, it’s a whole different story. Sometimes we are deceived by our own sinful nature and other times we just need to be educated. But sometimes it could be a red flag for a bigger issue at hand. Thanks for your comment. I good verse to share with any professing Christian interested in John Ed’s show is Deuteronomy 18:9-12 which talks about this very thing God finds an abomination. God Bless – Trent
